Dorraine Lonsdale and her husband Brad have been married since 1983. Rocky Mountain House has been home their entire married life. They have two grown daughters that attended Catholic school in Rocky Mountain House from Kindergarten through Grade 12. During those 17 years Dorraine was an active member of the school council at both St. Matthew Catholic School and St. Dominic Catholic High School. In addition, she was employed as office administration support for 24 years with Wild Rose Public Schools, followed by over six years in the private sector. She has been involved in multiple ministries at St. Matthew's Parish as a greeter, money counter, reader, extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, CWL president and leader of children’s liturgy. The last few years Dorraine trained in Pastoral Care and is an active member of this ministry.
Dorraine is committed to supporting the mission of Catholic education and its future growth. She sees God's beauty in being chosen as a Trustee. It is an honour to give back to an education system she highly respects and believes in. The very school division her own children had the blessing and good fortune to attend. Red Deer Catholic Schools honour their students and staff and this is a gift nurtured in Christ all on its own.
