We Celebrated Carnival de Quebec
The Carnival de Quebec, a winter carnival, started in 1890 as a way to celebrate winter. The first modern winter carnival happened in the year 1955 to encourage people to visit Quebec. This is a French-Canadian festival that happens every year. This year's Carnival took place from January 26 - February 11.
Mlle Bulger made a French and English slideshow presentation to teach our students about the carnival. Students viewed this slideshow after they went outside to work together to build snow forts. They did a great job sharing squirt bottles filled with food colouring and being creative! It was lots of fun for both students and staff!
