Learning about Courage
Today we were blessed with a visit from Mrs. Norman and Mrs. Taylor from The Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Support Team. Each class received a visit from either Mrs. Norman or Mrs. Taylor and learned more about courage and why the bear is the animal that represents this sacred teaching. Students were given a leaf and asked to write one time they showed courage or had courage on it following the lesson. All of the leaves will soon be placed on a tree in the Gathering Area. We can't wait to see what our tree looks like. Thank you Mrs. Norman and Mrs. Taylor!
On Monday we will have a celebration, during which, Mrs. Belcher's class will share what they have learned about courage and those students selected to receive a courage award will be recognized. All are welcome to attend this celebration in the Gathering Area at 8:45 a.m.
