‘Card for Kids’

We are still collecting the ‘Card for Kids’ forms for our Summer Reading Program. We have reached the three-quarters mark of returned forms which will qualify students to receive a free public library membership for June, July and August at Sylvan Lake Public Library or Eckville Public Library.

The students are very excited to shortly receive a new Summer Reading Program backpack that will be used as their library bag next September school year, a free public library membership and the choosing of books they want to read over the summer holidays. Our students love to read all year round.

Thanks to our School Council, all students will choose a brand-new book to keep when they bring their summer reading books back to the library in September.

We are so fortunate to partner with two school community public libraries that are willing to offer free memberships to all our Kindergarten to Grade two students. It’s wonderful to present students with their membership cards and allow them another option to borrow books to read over the summer.

If you have not filled out the ‘Card for Kids’ form for a free three-month membership card for your child(ren) please return by the end of April.  Several copies of this form have been sent home to those we have not sent them back. If you have a family membership in Sylvan Lake or Eckville libraries, there is a square to mark on the form and then please return.

We are very thankful to Sylvan Lake Public Library and Eckville Public Library for this wonderful opportunity to show reading is an all year-round enjoyment.
