Miracle Has Arrived
We are happy to announce one of our eggs hatched last week and the chick is doing great! Mrs. O'Gorman named the chick Miracle. The chick really is a miracle as there have been many eggs that have unsuccessfully rested in our incubator up until last week. Mrs. O'Gorman didn't give up hope or her efforts and thank goodness because Miracle has brought so many smiles to our student's faces!
Tim Keating and his wife, Lana, who is a veterinarian at Parkland Veterinary Hospital, have contributed eggs for our incubator for several years. On Friday Tim came with Miracle, a turkey and quails for a few classes to view. On Monday he dropped off Miracle (black in colour) and Royal Palm, a turkey chick, that stayed with us for the day. Most of the classes were able to go to the library to pet these feathered friends.
Even though incubating chicken eggs can be challenging, success certainly brings happiness. We would like to thank the Keating family for their kindness and time they always give us!
